Avantik® Introduces UV Laser Printers
Debuts the next generation of histology printing at NSH 2024 Convention
September 20, 2024
Avantik, the leader in supporting the critical operations of anatomical pathology, histology, and dermatology laboratories, will unveil two new UV laser printers at the upcoming National Society for Histotechnology (NSH) Convention September 22-24, 2024 in New Orleans. These printers for cassettes and slides will bring laboratories unparalleled speed, print clarity and flexibility compared to traditional laser and other printers.
“Laboratories seeking a faster, clearer and more flexible method to label their slides or cassettes will find significant improvements with these UV laser printers,” said Tom Fernandes, Chief Commercial Officer. “Advanced and easy to use, these UV laser printers print directly onto cassettes and slides of the user’s choice without using ink or ribbons like traditional printers.”
The printer’s software can be set up to accept images, text, symbols, and barcodes, and the output for both cassettes and slides is expedient . The printers come with an integrated, full-color touch screen, allowing for configuration of the print template and reducing the need for a separate computer on the benchtop. Both printers are capable of being interfaced with LIS, LIMS and HIMS.
“We are very excited to be chosen by Avantik to be one of the first trial sites for their new Laser cassette printer,” said Elizabeth Tellier, Director of Laboratory Operations at Seacoast Pathology. “The printer should enable us to decrease our operating budget and improve our laboratory’s efficiency.”
NSH show attendees can see demonstrations of the UV laser printers at Avantik’s Booth 201. Interested histology professionals can view more about the UV laser printers at https://www.avantik-us.com/uv-laser-printers.
